Pros and Cons of Video Games For Kids

In this description I'd like to weight some of the pros and cons of video games for kids, because in spite of all the negative press video games get, especially in regard to kids, I do believe there is the potential for a lot of good.

The Cons of Video Gaming for Kids

Starting with the distinct reasons parents regularly cite for not allowing their kids to play video games, probably estimate one on the list is that it is very bad for their eyes. With the new wave of high vision television sets I'm not sure if eye damage is as bad as the old cathode ray Tvs, but I'm sure it is still not all that good for the eyes, and this is not small to children either. It would be great if a Tv screen could be made that wasn't so harmful... Or at least not to the degree that non-reversible damage is done. So if this issue could be addressed, I'm sure that would take quite a bit of sting out of the debate.

Second on the list is that video games are bad for their brains. In this regard I would have to say it depends on the game, but with the sizable lack of responsibility on the part of the game makers the negative credit is actually deserved. Were the capability of the games a bit higher, with less a degree of wanton violence and destruction, possibly parents would not be so negative to the idea.

Third on the list is that time spent mindlessly playing these games takes away from time that kids could be spending playing 'real' sports, studying or fascinating in capability time with their friends or family. Kids are so busy nowadays that time management has come to be an issue even for 2 year olds, but with a balance of allowable scheduling I'm sure there would not be the need to poo-poo the whole idea of kids playing these games just on that account.

The Pros of Video Gaming for Kids

Turning to some of the pros for kids playing video games I'd like to draw from my own caress of playing video games as a child. Two of the things it taught me were binary logic and hand-eye coordination. These two things have been invaluable throughout my life and either one of them is grounds for additional investigation into this.

In terms of binary logic, while playing the earliest video games I came to understand the idea of yes/no processing. And since all computers are based on this idea, this helped me to specialist the personal computer later on in life. In future articles I will discuss this idea of edutainment in greater detail, but I believe it is the direction video games need to take in order to make them more acceptable... Anyone less and the cons tend to outweigh the pros which tends to make video games just another endangered species.

How to Fix Scratched Ps2 Games

Even though the Ps3 is swiftly becoming popular, many of us have decided to stick to the Ps2. There are more games, cheaper products, and more options for purchase. Heck, you can even download Ps2 games on the internet. Of course, these games are going to get a lot of use (because they're awesome!) and finally you are going to want to know how to fix scratched Ps2 games. This narrative will help.

Sometimes the problem with our game is not a scratch. Really, the Ps2 will read a lot of games with shallow scratches but it of course has a problem with caked-on gook. Try cleaning the disc before you endeavor to fix the scratch (or you might do work harm than is necessary).

Perceive that you are milling down the plastic outside colse to the crack to make the Ps2 think it's shallow. If you do it too often then you will have no plastic buffer left and the foil data layer will get destroyed. For serious problems (or repeated damage) your best bet is to resurface the disc.

How to Build and Shoot a Marshmallow Gun

Marshmallow blow guns are safe and fun for boys and girls of all ages. Even dads will enjoy this toy. A marshmallow gun or shooter is a terrifying Christmas, birthday or anytime gift!

The first marshmallow blow gun I ever received was at a birthday party. We played "Capture the Flag" with marshmallow guns. After the party, we all received a marshmallow gun for a party favor.

If you want to know how to build and shoot a marshmallow gun, the plans are below. Studying how to build and shoot a Marshmallow Gun without plans can be tricky, so we are giving the Marshmallow Gun-Shooter Plans to you for free!

Building the Marshmallow Gun

1. Buy 1/2 inch Pvc pipe, 2 Pvc elbows, 2 Pvc T's, 2 Pvc end caps, spray paint, marshmallows (ammo)

2. Cut your Pvc pipe any way long you want the barrel.

3. Cut four pieces of Pvc pipe 1/3 of the barrel, two for the handles and two for connecting pieces of Pvc pipe together. Cut one piece 1/3 of your handles. Cut one more piece of Pvc pipe 1/2 of your barrel.

3. Get two T's, two elbows, and two caps. Place the smallest piece of Pvc pipe in between the two T's. Now put two of the Pvc pipe (1/3 size of the barrel) on top and lowest of the T's. Place a cap on the lowest Pvc pipe and an elbow on the top Pvc pipe. Put the barrel in the t that's Pvc pipe has a cap on the end of it.

4. Now, place the Pvc pipe that is 1/2 of the barrel on your elbow. Put a Pvc pipe (1/3 size of the barrel) in the other t. Place an elbow on the end of your Pvc pipe that is 1/3 size of your barrel.

5. Place the last Pvc pipe (that is 1/3 the size of the barrel) on the T. Place the last cap on the Pvc pipe that is a 1/3 size of the barrel.

6. Now that the pieces are all put together start spray painting the marshmellow gun. The marshmallow gun can have designs. If you want designs, cut shapes out on a piece of paper, and spray paint straight through the paper on to the marshmallow gun.

7. Let dry overnight.

As a side note, you will have leftover materials since Pvc only comes in ten foot lengths. Cutting the Pvc may be a hassle, but painting the gun takes several coats and adult supervision. Some people choose to buy these guns fully made since you can find them online at inexpensive prices.

Shooting the Marshallow Gun

First, put a marshmallow in the beginning of the nozzle, the top piece. Do not put it in the barrel. Then blow one big breath of air, not a long weak breath. The bigger and harder the breath, the farther the marshmallow will go. To have even more fun, meet your friends at the park and have a verily big marshmallow gun war.

Since you know how to build and shoot a marshmallow gun or shooter, run out to the store and buy your supplies. Before you know it, you will be shooting marshmallows with your own gun.
